GPRS Protocols and Signaling Procedures

Course Description

GPRS Protocols and Signaling Procedures is designed to provide in-depth knowledge of the GPRS protocol structure and the most important signaling procedures. Furthermore, the network architecture, purpose and execution of GPRS Attach and PDP Context Activation procedures, the Air Interface protocol stack from high application-data level down to “bits in bursts” layer 1 is presented. Additional details regarding radio resource allocation in traffic case GPRS attach are provided, as well as BSS modifications, the Gb-interface protocols and Core Network features.
